What is Rock Steady Boxing SF?

Rock Steady Boxing, no rx (RSB) the first and only boxing program of its kind in the country, tadalafil was founded in Indianapolis in 2006 by former Marion County Prosecutor, sovaldi sale Scott C. Newman, who is living with Parkinson’s. RSB gives people with Parkinson’s disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing based fitness curriculum.

Since 2006 RSB has grown to over 126 affiliates in the US and internationally.

RSB SF is the first Northern California affiliate!

How do I start?

Nearly everyone with Parkinson’s disease can participate and receive benefit from Rock Steady Boxing. Some participants will require a cornerman (caretaker) to assist in each session.

We require all potential boxers to complete a 90 minute assessment with our RSB certified Coach Kim Woolley.

There is $100 fee for this assessment with no obligation to join BUT if you do join (and we hope you do!), search  you receive one free class to try it out.

Monday & Wednesday 1:15 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday 8:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.

More classes are being added all of the time including Friday 9:15 a.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. classes.  Email us for the current class schedule.

We recommend classes 2 or more times per week, online but if you can only come in once a week, hospital talk to us about membership options.

Kim, who received her first speed bag and gloves at age five, has always been interested in boxing. Since she stepped into Polk St Boxing Gym / Hit Fit SF over seven years ago, she has trained with local boxing professionals, fought in a smoker, and continues to be both a lifelong student and teacher of the sport.

She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and works at a large hospital in the Bay area.

Kim became certified in RSB in February 2014. She is also CPR, AED, NASM certified.


Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Simon has been living, boxing, and fighting competitively in San Francisco since 1996. Simon fought and won the 1999 Golden Gloves in the Cow Palace here in San Francisco.

In 2007 Simon opened Polk St Gym / Hit Fit SF. He became RSB certified in February 2014 and has been a USA Boxing Coach since 2003.
